I have the disks and manuals for every TurboTax or MacInTax program I've used since 1989. That means keeping the TurboTax application if you do not keep printed copies of your forms. Personal income tax filers need to keep tax records for at least 3 years. You need to save each year's application to view or modify your previous returns. All users should remember that new versions of TurboTax can import information from the previous year's forms, but cannot open those forms. If you tossed the CD out as I've done, they will charge you between $30-$70 for the privilege of getting an obsolete program that you've already bought.
The latest program does not read forms from past years.
